WHAT: Rep. Dick Stevenson (R-Mercer/Butler) will host a ceremony for local veterans to dedicate signs designating the new Mercer County Veterans Highway. Stevenson was the sponsor of a new law that names U.S. Route 62 in Mercer County as the Mercer County Veterans Highway. Route 62 starts in the Shenango Valley, passes through Mercer and continues east to the Venango County line. The name suggestion was made to Stevenson by Mercer County Vietnam Veteran Wayne Stratos.
